Fantástico! Rosário and her team have been an incredible help with our moving-to-Portugal journey. RelocatorPortugal has phenomenal reviews and I can attest that every review that I read is true for me and my experience. Rosario and her team, Ray and Raquel, are trustworthy, respectful, knowledgeable, efficient, supportive, and patient. They were able to navigate the challenges and roadblocks I faced on my end, such as, Ray was able to open a bank account for me without a required document that I had to request from my Retirement System for a second time. Raquel was able to assist me with booking a new Visa Application appointment in a matter of days after an appointment, which took six weeks for me to book, was canceled and I was told that I could not reschedule until after a few more weeks. Also, Raquel helped me to secure a visa qualified apartment in Portugal, just in time for my appointment. Rosario recommended a company to apostille documents that were quickly delivered to me within days of my appointment when the Office of Apostille called me two months after I submitted my request, ( I thought that I could save money and request the document myself) to inform me that they sent my documents to someone else. I learned my lesson. Follow Rosario’s recommendation and do not deviate from it. Additionally, Rosario was able to speak to the Visa representative during my appointment, and contact someone at the Consulate Office in Portugal to assess the situation and inform me what legal verbiage to write on my application after the Visa representative would not accept my application as complete because one of my documents was going to expire the next day (this was due to my appointment being canceled and rescheduled a second time). Believe me when I say that I could not have gotten any of this done without them. I am happy to say that not only did I receive my visa but I know for certain that I will continue to work with RelocatorPortugal for my future endeavors in Portugal.

Where can I start? We started our immigration process in the beginning of last year using a different company/law firm. Thankfully we switched to Rosario and her team at RelocatorPortugal just a few weeks before our VFS visa appointment. The first company we used was terrible. We waited sometimes weeks for email responses, they gave us very little information, it took months to get our bank accounts set up, so many problems that I could not list them all. For anyone looking for a visa to move to Portugal (ie D7 retirement, D8 digital nomad, etc) - please let me caution you that there are many websites and social media groups with information (often conflicting) on what you need to do. Many of them make it look easy, but it is not. Sometimes this is an issue of discerning who owns the website - and what they are trying to promote. Other times, it is often people that are very well intended to provide the right information. But with Portugal things change quickly - and information can quickly become outdated. Also, each person’s situation is unique. It is a lot to sort through for even the best of us ….and any one mistake can take months to correct. I am happy to not have had to worry about that, because the best decision we made was to hire the team at RelocatorPortugal. As soon as I spoke to our attorney, Rosário, I knew that I no longer had to spend every night researching rules, forms, and different websites wondering which was the most accurate. Rosário and her team (thank you Paula and Ray!) helped us find an apartment. They negotiated the lease to make sure it met the visa requirements. In mid-2023 my wife, a Portuguese citizen, and I decided to seek residence in Portugal. I will not dig deeply into the many entangled personal complications that our situation presented. Suffice it to say that it is now August of 2025 and Relocator Portugal, led by Dr. Rosario Vital, have secured my D7 Residency Visa. Dr. Vital was with us EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, with encouragement, expertise, cajoling of key officers in the Portuguese consulate, authoring of letters, a reviewer of mine, and great humor. She is a pit bull! Relentless and unyielding. Highly, highly recommend. A great value by any measure.

I already have recommended RelocatorPortugal to other other Americans who want to relocate to Portugal. Basically, the company is Rosario Vital, the lawyer in charge. She has a staff which makes it easy for you. Her staff keeps up with your emails and replies to them (I sent too many). And Rosario is never too busy to reply to things which require an attorney or the personal touch. She even has a New Jersey phone number you can use when you are in America, which saves you money. I thought her attorneys fees were reasonable as well as all her other fees. When I say "other fees", she has no hidden fees. But for a reasonable fee, she will have a realtor find you an apartment or whatever, and will ensure that the documents are legal and do not hurt you. And the realtor management company sends repairmen out immediately (It is a great apartment but you always need something when you are renting and I've been here a year) Other persons she can connect you with are a CPA for tax and accounting and general financial advice, and a guy who can do EVERYTHING: set up your internet, power, phone, gas, cable, modem, and give you advice regarding things you may have trouble with, like banking, Portuguese cellphone companies and other general questions. Everyone speaks English better than half the people I know in South Carolina, and I don't speak Portuguese, yet. My advice is to talk to her before you move to Portugal to see what you can and should accomplish before you move here and start using up your time to be here "visa-free". That's the only thing I did wrong, but Rosario helped me clean that mess up (If you screw it up, then you can be deported and banned from the EU for life..... HIRE AN ATTORNEY... and I'd say hire THIS ONE). I'm a very satisfied customer. That she is highly recommended online and on social media is not some slick marketing job (and I practiced law in the USA before I retired and believe that she runs a tight, professional ship.......... and I'm a little nuts and she dealt with my OCD tendencies, ha!).
